Thanks everyone!!! It was a brutal day and knowing you all were watching and cheering for us made a huge difference for me personally. There were several moments of "why bother" rattling in my head and each time I thought of you guys and turned it around.

I didn't even know this post was happening... you guys rock!!!  thanks so much for following up and cheering us on from afar!

I think the swim course was mismarked/buoys drifted.... everyone I talked to (including a superstar swimmer) agreed that times were off by 8-10ish minutes... which makes sense.  I could see going a tad slower without a wetsuit but 8 minutes not so much... and julie (my friend who swam through college and still has records on the books in college and masters) knows her swimming and finished in the time I was expecting... which isn't right.

(here are a few photos, I hope...not sure how they'll come out... initially it told me they were too bit and I fiddled around.  they're on FB).
