For all you aqua running ninjas .... tips?

As I rehab an arm injury I am doing some aqua running. I read some great articles in the Wiki but, I would love to know how you decide what is hard and what is easy. Do you just not over think it and go be RPE? I know heart rate is lower in the pool but having some data (because that's how I roll) would be nice is nice feed back. What has worked for you? RPE? HR? Time on the clock?

  • RPE Cadence and clock time.  Get a music device if your pool doesn't play music aloud because it is very boring.  Way worse then tradmill, trainer, or staring at the black line. 
    Also, please take that last line off your signature. Seriously
