Shawn Westhoven's next week's scramble

Patrick, My wife is running the VT 100k July 14,15,16. That is the weekend of my "massive volume" week. Can you help me switch workouts around so that I am riding mid week (next week) and running on the weekend (I won't have my bike in VT). BTW - thanks for the coaching a few weeks back, I had a breakthrough on the run and im doing fine.

  • @Shawn Westhoven - always happy to help!  And how cool your wife is doing that I think about it… Best of luck to her. Paragraph here is what I think you should do for the week: 

    Monday - swim and run as planned
    Tuesday - interval run, Friday swim if possible 
    Wednesday - Big Ride/Run
    Thursday - Big Ride
    Friday - long Run
    Saturday - up to 60' of Steady State / TRP running
    Sunday - up to 60' of Steady State / TRP running

    if you need to move along ride to Tuesday in order to get it done, because Thursday is a travel day, you can move Wednesday and Thursday forward, and do your interval run/swim (optional) on Thursday before you head out.
