I am not sure about moving runs to different weeks, but I have had to adjust my weekly schedule many times to make all three disciplines doable with work, family and work travel.  For example, this week I spoke to Coach P about breaking the big day into two days: Swim pm Thursday, the bike a run  on Friday, doing both of them 1 & 2 days prior to the plan.  We them moved the 3 session run day from Thursday to Sunday.  Not sure if that helps....cheers.
  • Moving a 3hr run a bit further from race day may be advantageous
  • my work as a busy physician assistant in a busy internal medicine practice forces many changes to schedule. I try to be consistent with my inconsistencies. Then there is the pressures of family, broken cars, helping out with 4 adult kids, 8 grand kids, and understanding spouse. my best 70.3 was 4 weeks following a sub par IM Boulder. Go figure! looking forward to Austin next.

Occasionally I will move my Thursday Long run to Sunday.  When I do this I plan my week for a Tues/Thursday/Sat bike routine moving Sunday bike to Thursday and ensuring that I hit the same TSS planned for the Sunday bike in the now scheduled Thursday bike.

If you move the Long Run to Sunday, also be prepared for the fatigue effects on the following week's training plan. Moving the long run to late in the week may necessitate that you swim only for the following Monday/Tuesday given the recovery needed.
