Crucible for Eric Voboril's Race Sim

Here it is: http://su.pr/1U027K  Eric rode very conservatively, almost too much so, and I give him advice on how he can work harder without suffering the consequences. I think that the gearing hurt (he's getting a compact) but riding a 12-27 should give you enough options to avoid riding 40+% of your time at 70-80 rpms....if not, then you've picked too hard of a Sim Course!!!!

Thanks for sharing!

  • Thanks for the notes Coach P. I'm going to work a lot on upping my average cadence and keeping my watts up on the hills in my last few weeks. While I don't have the Adirondacks again to practice on until race day, I've got plenty of up and down north of Baltimore to get me ready for LP.

Question: should my second RR be on the flats to get the practice of staying on my bars for a solid 6, or would it be better to do it on the hills to practice keeping my IF up on the climbs and downhills?

    All the best,
    Eric
  • Flats baby flats. Get as zen as you can; you don't even see hills anymore. Like the matrix all you see is code: Gear 2, Gear 3, Gear 4, etc....
