The more everyone participates the more everyone will crush this race the Endurance Nation way!

Make sure to watch the videos, podcasts and blogs that are attached to each week of training on the website. They are located on the right side of the your training page.  CHECK THEM OUT! Maybe listen to them as you stretch, roll or recover or as you fuel up for a workout.

I will post highlights weekly. This week they talk about the importance of the long ride and data tracking. Get to know yourself and what your needs are during these long rides. Track EVERYTHING!! The difference between a successful execution and an unsuccessful one is knowing what you need to execute.

So ROLL CALL! Who’s doing IM Arizona?? Introduce yourself- let us know where you are from? Is this your first IM? Anything you wanna share about yourself. Because  WE ARE A TEAM and we want to support each other the best we can. So now let’s hear it, make some noise.... Any questions for the team?

  • I plan to race at IMAZ but I will be taking two weeks pretty much completely off after today's ITU Long Distance WC race!  Looking forward to meeting up with EN in Tempe!
  • I am not racing this year but I am the registered Super Sherpa.  I'm here to help and support you.  If I can help with anything, don't hesitate to ask.  I hope to do some training rides with Betsy Kantor again this year.  Looking forward to watching everyone crush their goals.
  • In . I have unfinished business at IMAZ from my DNF on that course.... Racing KONA 5 weeks prior so will be out of sync with the AZ training , but I will be there.
  • Here we go again...this will be IM #9 and hoping for decent weather (my last race was the stormy IMAZ 2015). I'm here in Chandler, AZ so if anyone needs something, let me know.

I think you are going to do great things in AZ. Back in 2010, I had the same two races back-to-back and PR'ed at IMAZ. The IMAZ course and weather seemed like child's play compared to Kona where I got nailed by an airborne aid station table on the bike course.
  • I will be there again this year.  5th IM and 2nd time at IMAZ.  Looking to improve by 57 mins!!!  1st year in EN.  Looking forward to meeting y'all out there.  I'm from Duluth, GA (Atlanta area).  Happy training!
  • @tim cronk there will be a lot of Kona cheering from AZ, look forward to seeing you again.
@Satish Punna looking forward to meeting you.
@Michael Kichler I didn't know we had another local in The Haus.  Hoping @Betsy Kantor will want to drag me up and down the Beeline.  If you're interested, maybe you can join us.
@Ed Aponte welcome to EN, I'm sure this will be your best one yet.

  • @tim cronk....madman. I'm officially starting 5th week from IMSR a an and feel like I need 20 weeks! My fitness has taken a massive dump with the transition period. Good luck!   This is IMAZ #3 and was hoping to go <11:00 but.... I feel like I've lost 4-5 VDOT and 20w FTP.....I'm hoping is transient and there really is some legs there somewhere. Can't imagine that I did more than a OLY but an IM a month ago really.   Still motivated to do my best!
  • I'm in and excited. This is my first IM and my goal is to finish strong...Big stretch goal is under 14. I look forward to keeping up with everyones training and seeing everyone in 11 weeks.

  • im in. switched over from los cabos. much less drama surrounding the race. i decided that i am getting enough Tss without all the travel hassles of getting to mexico. looking forward to comparing notes with everyone!
  • I'm in also for AZ.  Hoping i can get enough training in.  Got a lot of family stuff going on with my parents.  So, we'll see how many training sessions i'm going to have to miss because of that.  Hopefully things go well.
