Race rehearsal question: the swim

Just curious - 

I have a RR coming up soon, and the RR swim is scheduled on Friday, with the rest of it on Saturday.  What's the reason for this?  (Just convenience?  Or something more fundamental?)

As it happens, I have pretty good pool availability on Saturday mornings, so I could do the whole thing... Or of course, I could leave it as scheduled.

Typically this is because an 7 hour day (6 bike / 1 run) is enough for most folks; we "give" you two Big Day options to s/b/r to your fullest, but the race sim is all about the bike and pacing that run.
