Newbie swim wko session question

I am new to EN.  Can people chime in with how a wko like this is executed in simple terms for a beginner adult onset swimmer to understand?

MS: Position Progression: 8 x {2 x 50 (15")}. Each set of two 50's is a Step in Position Progression. 2 x 50 (15") Swim Golf Propulsion Progression: 5 x {2 x 50 (15")}. Each set of two 50's is a Step in the Propulsion Progression 100 easy 2 x 50 (15") Swim Golf. 6 x 50 (20") as 25 Strong, 25 Easy.

Thanks in advance.

  • For explanations of the position & propulsion progressions, get the eBook, which you'll find by clicking on "resources" on the EN dashboard, then, "wiki", then "swimming".

    Translating
8 x {2 x 50 (15")} ... means you do 8 sets of 2 x 50 with 15 seconds rest between each 50. The 50s can be either yards or meters depending on the size of your pool.

Swim Golf is a steady, strong swim, adding your time in seconds and the total number of strokes you take. Observe the number, and, as in golf, try to get it as low as you can.

25 strong, 25 easy means the first length of a 50 work hard, the second, take it easy.
  • well, now I need to read the ebook too!
