Hoka Tracer
I'm three weeks into the Hoka One One Tracers. I've been wearing Kinvaras ever since the original version (now on # 7 or 8?). I kept trying other shoes, but always came back to the Sauconys. These Tracers are at least as fast as the Kinvaras, feel just as neutral, have a 3-4 mm rise, and weight only 7 oz, less than the Kinvaras. They are billed as racers, I guess, but I'm using them as a daily shoe, alternating with the Kinvaras. Time will tell how well they wear; I'll repost here in a couple of months.
But for now, they are like the Kinvaras, in that I don't know I have them on, unlike almost all other shoes I've tried. I did run in Cliftons 2&3; these are not as bouncy or "soft" as those, but they are also don't feel thin in the sole like other "racers". The main reason I bought them: they were 40% off @ Running Wearhouse, in addition to our 15% EN discount. Hard to pass up a chance to give them a try. At that "discount", they ended up priced like a normal shoe.
