@Al Truscott All I have ever used on the trainer is a tri-bike, I have two of them and unfortunately do not own a road bike. I was just commenting to Jeff that I had never put the bike on the treadmill before as the picture shows.....but it does look fun!
Have to balance 4 kids going to college, a company merger and a single income with needs vs. wants......However, one could argue that a Road Bike is definitely a need vs. want!
@Jeff Kane - looks super nice! My pain cave is pretty small since I only have a trainer and refuse to own a treadmill ... living in Tampa helps on that regard.
@Shaughn Simmons - 3 graduated and 1 in college (freshman)! This too shall pass.
@Derrek Sanks - thanks, just need to get your killer run!!! @Al Truscott, @Shaughn Simmons, @Scott Alexander - The TT Bike on the treadmill would be interesting, much akin to rollers I would guess. I actually did see a video a while back with a monster treadmill with two riders on it. Sadly, I would trust my self. @Paul Hough - Used to live in St. Pete years ago - when you can score a treadmill for $150, you got to get it!
It got its first full use this morning - good stuff is brewing this OS! However, I am going to put myself in run jail for the next two weeks to clear up a foot issue. Will be switching the run for elliptical and strength training.
@Jeff Kane - $150 is a steal but it would only collect dust at my house. The odd thing is that I love the bike trainer but just absolutely despise treadmills. Even when I lived in the north, several days of blizzard might drive me onto the trainer and 30 mins later I knew the next run was going to be back out in the snow.
@Scott Alexander, I am pretty sure my partner would leave me if i got another bike. My pain cave is setup and broken down after every workout. Oh keep in mind we both work from home. So riding cannot happen when he is calls.
Love the pain cave! So jealous. I too have an apartment so no permanent pain cave. I do have a large deck and usually take the trainer out there. Best part is it's partially covered so it works on rainy days too!
