Frederick Guesneau Official Coach Tread

Hello Coach P.

I believe this is the way I initiate a request for a new season plan. If not, it will not be the first time I get do it wrong. I hope you and your family is doing well.

I have now been off since Kona. Survived my first colonoscopy. Have been completely resting (except 2-3 weight/core sessions a week) and plan to not do much until Thanksgiving. I felt I was little burn out after KQ and IMWC. I want to take a good rest and go 100% hard for IMMT18 and hopefully requalify. My A-race is IMMT18 (August 19th, 2018). MY B-races are wisconsin70.3 (June 10th, 2018) and Door County half IM (July 15, 2018). My plan should focus on getting back to a high FTP (IMMT is a tough bike course) and a solid sub 3:45 run during the race). Thanks. I totally appreciate everything and thank you again for such an incredible experience at Kona. It exceeded all my expectation and it definitely is worth all the effort I put in since 2011!. Take care.

Here's your updated Season Plan, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is my best outline of how to proceed with your races, but you can ask any / all questions you want. So post away, know that I reply here usually M/W/F each week.

    Coach Notes

I want you to start the RDP program, How to Train This (And Every Fall) Inside Endurance Nation (GroupMe Chat for RDP) and use that to lock in your run. You can ride 1x during the week and 1x weekend, but it should be loose and not forced. You'll likely still have some fatigue for a while, so be patient through 12/4. At a minimum we want the run frequency more than anything else!

Let me know what you think!
