DecOS Week 1 Run Thread

aaaaand, so it begins.  I'm not tracking the run focused plan, so won't be sure of the runs posted there; I'll let those folks provide the mojo for runs not matching up with the bike focus.  

Personally, I am rolling along with a run streak requiring at least a mile a day.  Today was day 29, and got 2.5 miles in at a bit quicker than TRP.  I often struggle with powering down the run paces and run a lot of how I feel that day.  I need to be better about running easy when I'm supposed to run easy.

  • Crickets...:o)  Got a quick brick in this morning after the bike.  2.5 miles right near TRP.  Flying for business tomorrow morning, but am going to try to get at least 5 miles in before the sun comes up...likely won't be able to get the whole hour.  I hate getting up early:o)
  • Sorry gang. I am dropping out of DOS:-( Rewatched coach P's video recording from Kona. It turns out that I am returning too early since IMAZ. Need to put in 4 wks of Run Durability before starting OS. So I will do Jan OS instead. 
    Good luck everyone. Keep up w your training will think of you guys during my runs. 


  • I'm thinking we may need to combine the run and bike threads for the DecOS; doesn't seem to be enough participation to warrant two separate threads...thoughts?
