Garmin Vector2 Calibration Issues

Hi All, So I just purchased a set of Garmin Vector 2 pedals.  So excited to ride with true power data, however after install the data I am getting is about 60-75% of what I thought my virtual FTP power was.

Has anyone else expereinced this?  I am trying to figure out what the magic answer is to getting the calibration correct.  Any insight would be great.  I did purchase a torque wrench.

Thanks

  • Cory,

Virtual power usually does not come close to actual power from a power meter.  Virtual power is a guess of your power based on speed as measure from your speed sensor and brand of your trainer. I'm sure your Vectors are functioning perfectly. Make sure the crank arm length is set in your head unit/Garmin and go through the calbration/vector angles spin up process.
Now you need to mentally reset what you thought was your FTP. I went through the same reality when I started using a power meter. Hope this helps.
