I had the best run of the year yesterday
2.84 miles in 25:30. No, it wasn't the time or distance that was great. For the first time, I went running with my six-year-old daughter on the bike trail while she rode with me on her little, yellow 16" bike. I made sure that she knew to look both ways, to ring her bell before passing, and all the other little points that she should know.
Although yesterday was scorching hot, the evening was perfect. The humidity was down, and the sunset was a perfect pink. The trees and bushes along the trail hosted a million fireflies--it was like riding through a tunnel of sparkling lights. Olivia counted seven little bunnies eating grass by the side of the trail. She's a little slow going up hill, and too fast for me to keep up with going down, but, wow, what a great little run. I had a huge grin the entire time. It was the perfect end to Father's Day.

That is awesome, probably the best run you are going to have ever.
