  • I have been around this game for awhile. I should know by now when to shut it down. But NO. I have to go try to do a long run. Yep. Turned into a long WALK. Legs were having NONE of it. Did get two miles of running in. The funny part is my Garmin said Green light for go. So after my 3 mile walk my Garmin said 8 hours for recovery. That was some walk. ;)

  • Snuck away from work long enough to hit the treadmill on Le zwift today.  Goal was just to run until anyone called me back.  As luck would have it, nobody called so like Forrest I just kept running and running.  But felt good and even kicked into a little z3 at the end.
  • Took a complete rest day yesterday.  Skipped the swim and core work; only did some yoga.  TSB was -29 to start the day and I didn't have energy.  Maybe it was that trip to Dallas.  I just hope I didn't catch anything

On the bright side ... I had a wonderful nap and a relaxing afternoon tea.  We'll see what today brings; still not 100%
  • @Derrek Sanks- I hope it worked for you. We watched a video on scraping technigue that was cool and easy. We're trying it tonight. It was in the Ultimate running series.
  • Missed my last run workout and had to switch the weekend bike and run.  35' on the treadmill again.

Well, I caught something.  ^*#&!  Yesterday was rough, feeling better today.  Decided to take a 3rd-straight rest day and to pick it back up with Week 6 starting tomorrow
  • I hear you @Paul Curtin - pretty much sat out Monday to Wednesday due to respiratory symptoms.  No running Thursday or Friday (easy biking Thursday, VO2 Friday), then was able to do my long run (at a little less intensity) yesterday.  Followed it with a brick run today (just 5k after the ABP crew crushed me).

Although I'm not posting much, I'm watching all action closely and am absorbing the positive energy.  I hope to get to the point of being an energy donor rather than just a drain, though...
  • @Paul Curtin I sure hope you feel better!  My 10 year old son was diagnosed with the flu this week.  Luckily we caught it pretty early. Somehow we managed to keep everyone else in the house healthy.  Thank heavens for Lysol!

I was feeling pretty fatigued and took Tuesday completely off.  ATL was 87 and form -30.  Because of that, I missed a run so I'm a little short in my milage this week.  I had a good long run this morning.  https://www.strava.com/activities/1391707224. Miles 5 and 7 I seemed to drop off a little, but overall, I was pleased with it.
  • Today was one of those lazy, stay inside days. Motivation to workout was very low. It was snowing in the morning then rained all day. I knew I wasn't going to do a 80 min run on the dreadmill or outside in the cold rain. I finially mustered up an ounce of motivation and ran 5 miles outside. One thing I can still say is never have I regretted going for a run.
