where is this spreadsheet?

Right before my half ironman in New Orleans this year, I saw a spreadsheet that showed the finishing times for runs (may have included bike as well) based on your race day vDot...it showed the 'best possible result' and other possible results and was not the basic vDot calculator but all of the race times were based on the EN race pacing protocols.

Anyone know what I am referring to and where I can find it inside th Haus?

Thanks!

  • It was in the run execution pack with the podcast. Can't seem to find it right now, cuz I can't see anything on the train map. Paging Nemo!!
  • I think it was actually created by one of our spreadsheet jockeys - Hopefully he will identify himself to get credit. (Cary?)

I don't know where it is in the forum, but I've uploaded a copy to Google Docs here. You'll have to play with the column widths to see everything. Hopefully, you will know which cells require YOUR info (age, times, etc) to get the recommended finishing times/paces

  • Close Al - that's my frankenstein.

Not officially EN sanctioned, YMMV, money-back guarantee, etc., etc.

    And read Rich's thoughts here:

Always curious to know how it actually worked for people!

  • Craig...I don't think this is the one that I had seen.  It doesn't look familiar.  If I recall correctly, this document wasn't arranged in Landscape mode in Word...and there was a 'range' of finishing times for specific to the HIM and IM runs.

This IS a cool tool though.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

  • Saw my name mentioned here - it was not me - I do recall seeing it - I'll see if I can find it in my Safari history

update: no luck - couldn't find it

  • Steve, are you talking about the spreadsheet that came with the Power Webinar?  It lists your bike splits in the frst column and gives you the TSS and IF you should shoot for?  It has lots of colors on it, reds, blues, yellows and greens.

  • No...I don't have power yet (it is first on my list), so, that can't be it!

  •  Let us know if you track it down - sounds interesting!

  • The spreadsheet you're talking about was a from the podcast last year (May 2009) on race execution on the run. There was a file accompanying it with a range of times based on vdot. I'll have to check to see if I still have it on another machine.

Patrick, any other ideas where this went? It used to be in train map...
