@michael kost

Here's your personal Coach Thread, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is here to guide you through your first year on EN, so you can always come back here.

As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes.  So post away, know that I reply here usually M/W/F each week.

Please watch the video above. I'd like you to start with our OutSeason Plan to kick off your training and eke out a few weeks of quality training before the training volume starts to build up. Then you transition with a Swim Camp focus before moving into the EN*Full Plan in the final push.

Comments

  • @michael kost - Great to talk with you today!! Thanks for your time and for all the kind things you had to say about Team Endurance Nation...remember you will soon be part of what makes this such a special community to be a part of.

    Remember that it will take about six weeks of consistent training before all of this feels normal, so don't put any extra pressure on yourself outside of just getting out there and doing the training!

    With that in mind...

    1 - Here is that Boomer's Forum I mentioned to you. You should read it at least once a week. Lots of great people there and they would really like to meet you for sure. If you "star" the conversation when you are in there, you will get email updates and you can just reply to those emails (moving forward) to stay connected.

    2. Eagleman is the new goal...so I have updated the "calendar" of plans above to reflect that. It means continuing the OutSeason Plan for now but then transitioning into the EN*Half Plan for a bit before moving to the EN*Full Plan

    3. You should change your Zwift name to be as follows:

    First Name - Michael
    Last Name - Kost #EN

    This will allow us to find and follow you. When you want to ride with the group (Saturday and Sunday) you can always "weight dope" by making your weight something like 145lbs so you can ride with the group and still get a great workout.

    4. Your Homework -- please get me that Training Peaks login and password so I can check out your account.

    You can also schedule a follow up call with me at the end of the month: https://calendly.com/pmccrann/15min

    Best,

    ~ Coach P
