Plant based nutrition options for IM distance

looking for recommendations and experience with plant based / vegan nutrition and hydration options for IM distance race. Very interested in learning more about plant based nutrition vs non plant based.

    I been vegan/plant based for 8 years now, many IM's , and some Ultra's , I eat mostly very healthy real vegan food, but for racing and training I use engineered sports products like gels, blocks, sports drink, etc as long as it's vegan. It's not health food its racing food, I can't be bothered making/carrying special racing fuel. I just try to eat the health food in between racing/training.   • @Cory Metler - For Ultraman this year I started using a vegan custom blended Infinit blend.  The regular formula has whey protein, so you need to get the custom blend to get vegan protein.    I was very happy with the results and plan to continue using it.  Its's very simple, and you don't need to take anything else.  Also, they are a team sponsor, so we get a discount.
  • @Cory Metler - Also, I make a concentrated bottle and keep it behind my saddle.  I alternate Gatorade Endurance and water up front in the aero bottle.
