? walk run while i recover from hip injury

I have a left hip bursitis, I think,  I developed pain on 12 k run about a week ago.  I'm in Sicily and will be returning to Seattle on Thursday,  will DR if I need but it is already a little better.  I ran/walked 12 K today and could run 2 miles without pain, My question is I would like to continue training distances and walk run for 2 weeks.  If I can't run by then I will up date you.  for now I continue to press forward.  Main treatment? "ICE".  Rest, and walking.  :)
