Here's your personal Coach Thread, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is here to guide you through your first year on EN, so you can always come back here. 

As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes.  So post away, know that I reply here usually M/W/F each week.

Your Notes

This year I completed 15 mile trail run in Feb and a half marathon in April. Mostly run and swim focus over winter and early spring. See below for current fitness in May and June:

  • Swimming: consistent 2-3 times a week 2800-3200 yds. Drill/form focus.
  • Bike: 2-3 times a week. Various bike types. 3 hr rides on 21lb bike. 3-4 hr rides on road bike. LSD. Shorter 1.5 -2.0 hr hills and up to zone 4 tops.
  • Run: 2-3 times a week. 1 or 2 with uptempo work. Once a week 1.5 to 2.0 hr run.  Increased strength work at gym. Will now drop a shorter work out for teacher lead yoga. Helps with the recovery for sure.


Your Races

  • 08/12/2018 Derby City Trifecta Olympic distance. Local race, C race.
  • 08/25/2018 Storm the Fort Half Iron. Kingston TN. B race.
  • Ironman Louisville (2018-10-14) #IMLou_18

  • On 7/2/2018 Load the 2018 Bike Focus EN*Full to end on 10/14/2018 (L1 or L2 workouts)
  • On 10/15/2018 Load the -- Post Ironman Transition Plan, All Levels (4wks) to end on 11/11/2018
  • On 11/12/2018 Load the -- Run Durability 1 (9 months out) -- 4 weeks to end on 12/9/2018

Coach Questions - Right here in this thread. Always reply to this same thread, it keeps a record for us as we evolve together!

General Questions - Simple stuff can go to the Q & A Central Forum for the Team to answer. For example, Best Bike? How to improve run cadence? How to flip turn?

Need Help? - Please check the EN Help Site first!

Admin Questions - Billing or orders or whatnot? Use the red chat button at the bottom of the Members Site (not forums) or email us here.

Specific Questions about a Race or Power, etc? - You can post those into the targeted forum for that topic. Power questions to the Power and Pace Forum. Race questions to your specific race forum, etc. Not sure where to post? Put it in the General Discussion forum and we’ll sort it out. Whatever you do, PLEASE ask your questions!!

You have quite a few things to do when you start up. There are instructions on the top of the website, but you can review them under Resources / Trial Member Welcome.

  • Hi Coach! Quick question would be, how can I view my plan a few weeks ahead or even into the next week? Additionally, thanks to all
    the EN staff for all their efforts in bringing my account back to life.

  • @Gretchen Cassidy -  thanks for the kind words, and sorry for the inconvenience. You have a few options, some of them easier than others.

    The first option is go to training plan central or you can read about the training plan you’ve chosen and find resources for it. Not super detailed but it exists.

    The second option is to simply use the drop-down menu on the my plan page to select a future weeks. Right now it will have a number say like we Kate. Click on it and you can choose week nine or 10 or 11  To peek ahead. Just remember what week you started with so you can put it back when you’re done!

    Finally, we do have that new integration with FinalSurge where you can opt into all of our training plans on the FinalSurge platform which, I believe, has a much more intuitive interface for looking ahead and managing your workouts.
