The Official IMCDA'10 Race Day Thread
Let's get ready to race!
- Follow your teammates here in our Race Day Tracker. Just bookmark the thread and refresh periodically. We aren't pushing splits out as tweets automagically because we think it's a bit too much noise.
- Follow @TeamEN or @RichStrauss on Twitter, as I'll be tweeting from the course, hopefully via quick podcasts if the reception is good.
For athletes racing:
- Tell your families that we'll have an EN tent and some food/snacks in the parking lot across the street from 501 Lakeview Blvd. Look for the Commercial Printing building and the EN banner
- For the bike I'll be on the hill at the corner of Lakeside and Rimrock. It's the short pop of a hill after the sharp righthand turn. It's the start of the hills and I'll be there to get your mind right.
- I'll be at the run turnaround for a few hours in the afternoon, then at/behind the finishline until about 9p.
- Meet me afterwards at the CDA Brewery, about 9-11:30, then I'll probably go back to the finishline.
Good luck!

A lot of excellent swim times!
Go Team!!!
Hey Folks,
Dropping in to a Starbucks after a few hours on the bike course, to download/upload video and pictures, recharge some batteries, etc. Perfect day out there so far, though it might get a tad hot on the run with the sun. Also seems a little windy though I couldn't tell while I was out there.
Anywho, I took some sweet dismount line video that I'm uploading now, look for it soon in Facebook and Twitter, I'll see if I can embed it in here.
I was on the short pop of a hill, into a left, that's just after the hairpin right turn near the lake. Anyone who has done the race knows where I'm talking about. I saw pretty much everyone and they all looked great! Big difference between the EN demeanor vs everyone else, ie they are relaxed and getting over the hill while most others are absolutely crushing it. I saw many interesting effort and gearing decisions out there .
Once I'm done here I'm going back into town to host the EN easyup (borrowed from local friends by the Ogle's) and families. Don't know if I'll be able to get out to the run turnaround like I would like to but...they'll see me 2x each lap from the parking lot.
More later...

AWESOME kids on the bike course
Weather looks gorgeous out there!
GO NATION!!!
Trying to get minds right on the bike course
Go Team EN!
Keep up the good work EN,
Just a quick observation. I took a look at the 35-39 ag to see how people are faring. It will be interesting for me to see how they all end up. The top 10 all went under 5:14:06 and the top 2 went under 5:00! Those are some fast people on a hard course. In fact, I had to look down to 37 place (i think) to find someone who went 5:30 or more.
Yikes.
Al looks like he's currently 1st in AG! Woohoo! Goooooo Al!
