2019 70.3 Eagleman - Triclub Championships and KEY RACE
We have won this competition two years in a row and we would like to win it again.
Currently, 100 slots are left in tier 2. It appears to be filling up fast. We know it is hard to think about 2019 before 2018 is even over, but .... we need all hands on deck.
Let me give you a little bit of information and a link to register, to help you along with your decision-making process:

I have to fly home early from Al Camp for my girls' pre-prom Friday night and am considering jumping in the car after that to get to MD late friday and do this race on Sunday...
any takers?
Something to note folks - apparently accommodations fill up fast. How about a Team House rental. Only stipulation is that @ "Mariah Bridges" get to stay in the house. Here are some great options.
Eagleman has limited lodging options because of the location so it’s pretty important that folks pick a place to stay pretty soon. There are some good houses in the area that Coach P found, and I’d like to pass on to the you all so you can get organized, etc.
The only stipulation with a “Team House” is that Mariah gets a bed.

Anyone interested in going in on a team house? Lodging is difficult in Cambridge - main options are $400/night at the Hyatt or 1/2 hour away in Easton. I'd be in for a house if there is interest.
@Doug Herr - I'd be interested. I'm 2 hours away and would stay one night.
I would be interested as well.
Hi folks, I'm looking at the house below. It looks like the best combination of location and plenty of beds. It's $1,800 for the minimum two nights (Fri/Sat). Six people comes to $300/ppn. It seems to me the best way to be fair is we would each pony up $300 whether we are there one night or two. Let me know your thoughts and if interested.

for, one of the rooms with Q or K beds.
Hi all, I pulled the trigger on the house (link is in post above). We have it for two nights - June 7th and 8th. The owner said it's no problem coming back to the house after the race to shower and then check out in the afternoon. It looks like there are 6-8 "bed-units," depending on how many we put in the room with the four single beds. The total came to $1,806.40.
I need some help determining what is fair in terms of those who come with spouses. Does it make sense just to divide by the total number of people, understanding that we can fit more people and therefore lower the per-person cost? Let me know your thoughts.
Let me know if you're a definite. Once we lock down the total number of folks we can work out the dollars and any other details.
I just signed up! My husband is coming with me. We already booked a hotel in Easton but are able to cancel should we decide to. We will think about the group house. I like the idea of being close and the energy of the team but it is pricier than what we are currently paying. I’ll let you know. Although don’t hold a spot for me. I know you need to get the beds filled.
Sounds great, Leslie!
I'm being prodded by local friends that are talking about it...hmmm...
This would be a travel marathon to get to... flying home from Al Camp on Thursday night, arrive NY 1am Friday. Friday afternoon is twins pre-prom extravaganza, done by 6pm... could jump in packed car and be in MD by 10ish... race on sunday...
Sounds like a horrible idea, consider me a definite "maybe."
That is a good bit of logistics. Will pencil you in for a room, let me know after you map out your season.
@Doug Herr , what's the current room situation?
It'd be me + gf, plus maybe another friend if there's room!
We've had a decent number of indications of interest (comments above), but no definites yet. I was going to catch up with Mariah after Kona to start nailing things down. I'd love some help coming up with a fair way to split the costs, given that there are four private bedrooms (1 with King, 2 with Queens, and 1 with Single) and one "dorm style" room with four single beds.
Hi Doug,
you can count me out for the house share. I’ve decided to keep my hotel room.
thanks,
Leslie
Got it, thanks Leslie!
@Doug Herr My $.02 is to come up with a pricing scheme based on bed/room not # of people. EG if Scott A brings his GF to share his bed in a private room, maybe it's only a slight markup from him being in the room alone.
I would do something like this
house price = X
King Room 20% of X
Queen Room 17%of X
Queen Room 17 % of X
Twin Room 14% of X
each Bed in Dorm Room 8% of X
Just a thought..
anyone with a Signf other sharing a queen or king adds in another $25 or $50 for house expenses... coffee, etc..
That's great feedback, thanks. I was starting to think along those lines but didn't get that granular. I tend to agree, the only difference for bringing a significant other would be the "bathroom time" premium. I don't want to overthink it too much, I'll nail something down and post it shortly.

Good morning Eagelmaners, Doug Herr has been working tirelessly to arrange for a house for the team. If anyone has ever done this, you know that it is a hard job. Lets give a big THANK YOU. He has created a document with details about location, price etc... and has provided an area for you to reserve your spot.
Please take a look and follow through accordingly.
Do not respond in this thread that you want in on this and then be surprised that all the rooms are taken when you find out you did not read through this post and missed that you need to put your name in the form here.
Only valid question I can see is when is the deadline for payment @Doug Herr because he has everything else covered.
@Carl Alleyne In case you're racing Eagleman
@Doug Herr - Thank you for doing all the arrangements! The prices listed are the total for two nights, not per night cost, right?
@Derrek Sanks Thanks! I just put my name down.
Excellent guys. Yes, the prices are for both nights. A bargain compared to the hotels!
Feel free to Venmo or Paypal me whenever you can - that will nail down your spot.
I am in on the house. My daughter and son in law are racing too. If no other team members want a room they could take one as well.
group than originally thought so *I will opt out* of the Team EN house.

I cannot get access to Google docs at work, so I'll look this evening and talk to my people!
@Doug Herr , what's the ruling on NON-EN people?!? I have a friend that might be interested.
I totally get if we want to keep it open to members, at least initially. He's got a hotel room already held.
I'm totally fine with non-EN folks, in fact my buddy Adam who is on the sheet is not EN, at least yet.
Also, if someone would prefer one of the single bed spots, I'd be happy to switch to a queen room or take the single room and give Mariah the queen. I just didn't want to keep those from any couples who would be going.
Nevermind, saw the airbnb link. 2.5 baths.
