**Final Surge ONLY -- Upgrade Required?!**
The 2019 OutSeason plans are the first generation of plans that will live only on the Final Surge platform. This means if you don't already have Final Surge, you won't get the plan.
New members have it automatically, older members (Signed up before July 2018) have to add a Final Surge Subscription to their EN membership.
It takes 5 minutes, and you can do it on the Maintain Account Page here. If you need help with this process, please reach out to us here.
Zwift/Trainer Road workouts can be found here

Hi Brenda, 01/07/19 is a Friday, I thought Jan OS started 01/03/19 which is Monday
@Brenda Ross I would be happy to help with the bike Thread. I plan to be around pretty regularly.
R2
@Jorge Duque - according to my 2019 calendar Jan 7 is a Monday?
@Ralph Moore - that would be great. Anyone want to be the run thread captain?
I'll take and run thread captain unless someone else really wants it.
Is there a “welcome” thread yet?
My Pain Cave is calling...the treadmill to the right is whispering (get that crap off me) and the bike is yelling "bring it on"!
Channeling @Joe Hallatschek
Pain cave setup with new Kickr Climb (Merry Christmas to me). Let's get this party started.
BOOM!
Hopefully, I will have built my new rocker plate by then. I have been overworked, stressed, and eating like crap for the last few months. I'm getting my MOJO back and although out of shape, planning on bustin' it this OS. Working on my run technique as well, with the Pose Method. Big changes coming. See everyone in a week.
I'll be kicking around with this group. It seems I'm as out of shape and tired. I've gotta start back at some point and there's nothing like the present.
@Gary Lewis and @Gordon Cherwoniak
Looking forward to suffering along with you and @Joe Hallatschek . :-). Hopefully there will be more than just the 3 of us in JOS. 😶
I am ashamed to post a pic of my small corner of the attic. I did get a new whip tho
No worries @John Stark , like @Joe Hallatschek , I am healthy and ready to go the JOS distance. I’ve been following @Ralph Moore on Strava and I’ve been doing some suffering myself. @Gordon Cherwoniak will turn it around quickly... he’s been around awhile :-)
Oh crap. JOS just got real! 😁😀
In for JOS! Love the @John Stark Eckersley jersey, being from St. Louis. @Ralph Moore I too am ashamed to post my pain cave, but for a different reason, given the litter lying around it right now (nutrition packages, shoes, wetsuit, etc.).
I'm back off maintenance mode and in for the JOS. Been pacing my wife to get her ready for a 10K and half marathon on March 2/3 and doing various rides in between. The pain cave is not glamorous but its nice and cool when needed (better still with the garage door open). I'll be riding on Zwift, so will always welcome company. I'm retired so start times are flexible.
TY @Ralph Moore for volunteering as our Bike Thread Captain and @Patrick Hayden as our Run Thread Captain. Check out the December OS threads to get ideas. Please create a thread on Sunday for the start of the next week.
Question for the group on bike workouts. I'm going to run the TrainerRoad workouts and ride in Zwift at the same time. I'm assuming it's as simple as loading the appropriate week, day, and level workout in TR (I see the workouts in the TR app although the grouping is not in chronological order). Or am I missing something?
@Brenda Ross I tried to complete the Heads/Tails document and had difficulty. I was signed into Google docs and after completing a few cells I get a message stating I am no longer authorized to edit the document. Is there something I can do on my end to fix this?
@Jeff Phillips You know you can run the EN OS workouts dirctly in Zwift...it will flatten out the hills, so doing one up, say Alpe de Zwift is a great way to rack up climbing meters towards the Tron bike challenge
@Al Truscott I've been a long time TR user and am trying to wean myself off. I do appreciate and find helpful the analytic capabilities TR offers in terms of going back and reviewing workout statistics.
I am sucked into the Zwift game and increasing levels and don't want to forego that either. I've tested out running both programs in tandem and didn't get any elevation increases on the hills.
@Jeff Phillips The workouts in TR are in alphabetical order. I use the search and type 2019 OS...
Do you run them both (TR and Zwift) on the same ipad or laptop?
@Brian McCartan I run TR on my iPhone and Zwift on my iPad. To do that you need two Wahoo keys and two Apple 30 pin to lightning keys.
TR controls my KICKR with Powermatch enabled and Zwift gets power from my Quarq powermeter (not controlled).
