Signed up for New Zealand and loaded full IM plan...
but plan to chill... don't see that I can put in post 70.3 plan and the full IM plan... and how do we touch base with you, coach, for details along the way... same method as I'm using at present?

Yes, you can always reach me here in the forums. We also haven’t talk on the phone yet this year, so you’re welcome to set up a call with me: https://calendly.com/pmccrann/15min
You should have access to all of our training plans underneath my plans tab in FinalSurge. You just need to load them sequentially. It’s possible you need to delete the full plan first by clicking on the Monday workout + selecting all workouts selecting delete all work out and then restart by loading the post half iron plan.
Thanks! Right now I'm just chilling... but will want to know your thoughts for sure. Caught a cold working in ER or from my husband; only swimming and indoor cycling right now... next week I'll start ramping up again...
I'll go check out the Final Surge... It is pretty cool 😎
will set up phone call as well
@Patricia Rosen are you planning on IM New Zealand 2019?
Looking ahead ... I want to do it 2020. I'll be able to pick your brain! :)
coach, I'm a little off due to three shifts in a row and having a cold... I have a quick half marathon next Sunday too so decided to chill... (it is beautiful here and I really thought about riding or running... haven't gotten on Zwift cause it has been sunny and 60 degrees...)
I almost felt sorry for you until you told me about the weather! 😫
Good call on the rest. I think it’s important to know just how hard those work weeks are on your body even if the training load this is super high. Can’t wait to see how you do in the race!
:) thanks coach! feeling better but those night shifts do kick my butt! got a run in...
everybody has this bug in the ER... so I know where I got it.
yep! living in Austin has it's advantages! Come August I'll be jealous of you!
I hear you, it’s all relative! I am fighting something off right now, and I don’t even work in a hospital. 😂
It is just that time of year. Let’s both focus on staying strong!
I did my testing this week. 100m on 2 min (using 6 x 200 to test ability to hold steady pace), my run test was the 3M half marathon. Last year I did 1:57, this year I did 1:51 but it was colder this year... so I'm guessing about the same. ... although I'd like to think I really am faster (:))... (First place in AG) did my bike FTP and unfortunately only a minor bump up to 145 from last test of 144... Last year I was at 155 but my guess is I am fatigued... I will get to do a long ride on Friday... as you may have noticed I do two long rides on those days I have the time to ride due to my work schedule... the first half is intervals and the last half is ABP. Long run on Monday due to weekend shifts in the ER.
Thank you for the update. I am not so worried about your critical numbers as a function of your future race performance, it's just better to have refined targets for your training.
Yes, I know that you know that I saw your workout on STrava! 🤣 I am on hundred percent okay you doing the volume on those rest days from work.
Keep it up!
~ Coach P
Coach, had to do 4 shifts in a row last weekend and now again this weekend. can't get time off to go to New Zealand without putting the time in at work... :( my ankle is hurting from the 20 miler anyway and can't swim due to minor surgical procedure... can get back to it Monday...
OK, that sounds good. Take care of your ankle and use the bike as an alternative as much as possible. Your fitness is there, it is your health that is paramount. 💪

That is so funny about your bike, looks like you’ll be just fine. I recently discovered that my cycle shoes are too big, but “if it ain’t broke!“ 😂
No need to test, unless you just want a great workout. Thanks for sharing the picture of you swimming, your dedication and amazing.
Hey coach, I’m packing today.... leaving on Sunday... 4 hour bike ride is not possible.... two ER shifts Friday and Saturday... got an hour in this AM... did long OWS yesterday and will do hour of running this evening.... packing bike and wetsuit tomorrow....
Sounds good. If you give me more than one days notice, I can be more useful to you! I will be following along. 💪
Understood... honestly my work schedule limits me a lot and there’s not much anyone can do... at least I can whine about it here 😝
I had my training plan all messed up... it was set for a race on 05/11 not on 03/02... don't know how that happened...
I just signed up for Boulder... hopefully I'll get it right this time!
Sorry to hear that. I can take a look at it if you want. Let me know. In my defense, you race so often, it is hard to keep up! At least that’s what the other people in your age group say. 🤣
KQ, don't know how I did it, wait, that's no fair! I did it EN way!
No matter, on the training plan. I work I train... when I'm not working I train... sometimes I sleep :)
BTW only 2 races this year😜
I had gotten confused by bike program I did first... no criticism here!
The bike training helped enormously but the should versus could bike effort won my race. Kathy had 17 minutes on me until the run. Passed her at mile 16 and jogged it in and ended up 15 minutes ahead at the finish! Thank you EN!
I really need to do a phone meeting with you so I don't screw up my training plan again! this is all my fault! I should be better at following instructions!
Thank you for the race report and for that video. Super amazing! If you want, you can set up a call with Brenda and she can walk you through everything on the new site: https://calendly.com/sross8546/welcome/
ok! I will do that! also, I had set up an appointment with you already regarding the next race and discussing the last one... to see if I could have done anything different/better. I would so much appreciate your input!
Congrats Patty!!
