Things happen, even to experienced athletes! While there are programs to help you change a race date or deal with missed travel, there are no other options for you if you start but do not finish your race.
Consider the RPP your "Did Not Finish" insurance option. Now if disaster strikes in race, Endurance Nation can help get you into a do-over event. Endurance Nation will pay for your "do over" race up to $500.
Think of it as endurance insurance.... first person to come up with the jingle gets bragging rights!
