Here's your updated Season Plan, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is my best outline of how to proceed with your races, but you can ask any / all questions you want. So post away, know that I reply here usually Monday & Friday each week.

Coach Notes

Here is a basic outline of what I am thinking For you. The key here is the run frequency and some strength work to get you health and strong, and do the work that will help you continue to work on body composition.

RDP 1 Goal NOV:

  • No tempo runs, all TRP
  • Four runs a week Target, ideally about 12 to 15 miles .
  • Two easy rides.
  • 2 Strength (you can load the functional strength program "on top of" the baseline RDP program).

RDP 2 Goal DEC:

  • No tempo runs, all TRP
  • Five runs a week Target, ideally about 14 to 16 miles.
  • Three easy rides
  • 2 strength

RDP 3 Goal DEC (Only 2 weeks):

  • No tempo runs, all TRP
  • Six runs per week, Target about 20 miles.
  • 2 easy rides.
  • 2 strength.

  • On 12/24/2018 Load the -- Run Durability for Triathletes 3 (7 months out) -- 4 weeks to end on 1/20/2019
  • On 1/7/2019 Load the OutSeason (Run Focus) Plan, 14wks to end on 4/14/2019
  • On 3/18/2019 Load the EN*Half Run Focused to end on 06/02/2019
  • On 6/3/2019 Load the -- Post Half Iron Transition Plan, All Levels (2wks) to end on 6/16/2019

Quassy Half June 2018 in 8:35 (terrible day for me), IMLP 70.3 September 9, 2018 in 8:25, IMMD September 29, 2018 in 16:17.

Since IMMD I followed the post-Ironman recovery plan and now am entering week 2 of Run durability. I really want to improve my run fitness/speed. I remain in the same shape, roughly, and am injury free.Last week I ran 3X instead of 4 the plan outlined. Slow and steady each time. I wasn’t up to doing a tempo run yet. Work has me exhausted. Total mileage: 9 miles. I also biked 30 miles and did some strength training.

This week I hope to run an extra 4 miles.

The race drop down is for 2018. My A race is on June 9th, 2019. Eagleman 70.3
