NOS 2018 Bike Week 4 - Steep & Deep

Welcome to your week 4 Bike thread, approaching the hardest intervals as we will do our test after the first third of the OS next week. The title of this thread is a skiing reference and I am looking forward to my first days on skis this coming weekend in Vermont. Despite the recent dumping, there's likely not enough to hit the backcountry, but will do some inbounds skimo.

Peeking at the WKOs we are going steeper up the OS curve and getting in way deep on the volume and the gorilla fights expected to be happening in the late rounds of 2nd or 3rd FTP intervals. I am eagerly awaiting the reports for reading!

The most critical weeks of training are just in front of us and I am looking forward to digging in for an extra helping! Trying to avoid those on Thursday! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

  • knocked out the 2x15s today.. pushed the limits doing the first 8-9minutes of both intervals at 260, balance at 250. I have to look it up, but possibly my highest wattage FTP intervals ever!

  • @scott dinhofer you seem to have had success loading the NOS WKO into Zwift. I have moved the entire file to Zwift the file on my PC in workouts. The workouts are all there, and I can open the each individually but they do not show as an option in custom workouts when I start Zwift. This has always worked before. Are you having any issue? I think it is a possibly a problem within the Zwift software. I have a message sent to Zwift.

  • @Sid Wavrin - mine worked fine today.. have you had any problems before now running it in the OS?

    as for my workouts, did the 3x15s at .9 of an assumed higher FTP, 260 which was 235. pretty good as my FTP in the OS a year ago was in the high 230s. moving in the right direction.
