December Outseason Week 1 Bike AND Run Thread

Hello everyone! I figured i had a min today after doing my first workout. I've been doing the outseason for many years. Its actually my favorite part of training. Great quick workouts that kick your butt and you feel as if you've accomplished something when you are done. This will be my first time doing it with Zwift. I liked the premade workouts, thats nice. Plus I can get away with 'working' while i'm riding.

Who else is going to rock the workouts this week?

  • I am getting ready for the FTP ride and brick run right now actually! Looking forward to this OS!

  • Didnt get my wed run in. Life/kids got in the way. But I got the thursday bike in. Felt good.


    Rode 1.5 hrs yesterday and just got back from a 45 min run today. I'm in ok bike shape, but I haven't been running. So, easing into the running.

    Last week was a scheisse storm with coming off of a month of being sick.  My workouts did not happen as I had wanted them to - the body was not ready.

    I was finally able to get out a decent run Sunday, so I am easing back into the DOS this and next week as my HR is ridiculously high still - last night's workout STARTED at 150-160BPM and that was the warm up.  I was teetering between 165-172 the whole ride - that is crazy high for me.

    Tonight I am looking forward to the run!  I am hoping that tomorrow's brick goes a little smoother than last night's - the crazy HR is concerning, but I know that I am coming off of detraining from IMFL and the sickness, so no workouts Since October 20th.  Sigh - this road to IMTX is going to be rough!  Time to giddy up!

  • Hi everyone! New to EN! I started the December OutSeason about a week late. Just finishing up this week's workouts. Did my first ABP bike ride on Zwift today. It was hard, especially that last 10' at Zone 4!!
