Hooking your bike to the bike racks??

I've always used the XLAB to hook my bike to the bike racks.  My frame size is pretty small, and hooking it with the front of the seat seems insecure.  I'll probably go without the behind the seat bottles - in favor of a aerobar mounted bottle cage and cage on the downtube.  I guess I could take the cages off of the xlab thing and leave the rest of it on there, but is there something else people put on the back of their seat to help??  thanks

  • I've got 26" wheels, so I understand the risk of small frame size/shaky attachment to the bike rack in T1. I still use the nose of the saddle to rack when they don't let us use handlebars. I've got no secrets about how tp keep the bike attached, I just know I've never had a problem in dozens of races. But then, in an IM, when I'm racked next to all my AG competitotrs,  I'm always out of the water ahead of everyone, so no one's rattling the rack before me.
