If you read this, click on the link to the 1980 story in Sports Illustrated. Thats what first interested me in triathlon - I resonated with the attitude (kind of like how ultra-runners are today) those athletes had. But I hated the idea and act of running (still do), and so my entry into the sport had to wait 20 years.
