Moan! What are the odds? First Mathias Frank, and now Simon Gerrans (whom I was really counting on winning a latter stage) are off my team from crashes, and Tyler might as well have been for the past week. But my Big Four came through yesterday and stuck together until the end, and I can start racking up GC points for the next week: Kreuziger, Gesink, Contador, and Rogers (if only I'd gone with Levi instead of Kloden!) Maybe now I'll get out of the WorkWorks cellar. My sympathies to anyone who picked Wiggins - did Sky miscount the number of climbs yesterday?
Flip Flop wearing Cary Blanco!!! Pulls out a victory at IMLP and the EN TdF Fantasy Game all on the same day! My own SkinnyBoyz never quite made it out of the basement, but Kitima's Beefcakes put up a darn good fight!
OK, here's the team I REALLY meant to pick. I had some free time at lunch, so I went back to the list knowing how the game worked, and made some reasonable choices (pre-race rational thinking follows each rider):
A Schleck (22) - a lock for 2nd or 1st, cheaper than Contador, maybe a mountain stage winner.
Cancellara (10) - Duh! - a lock for 2 TT wins
Cavendish (20) - would have been the obvious choice, 4-5 stage wins for sure, in the end a lower ROI than Petacchi or Hushovd, but, really, who would have picked the Italian before the race?
S. Sanchez (14) - He IS the Olympic champion
Menchov (16) - ALWAYS a solid Grand Tour performer; mistake free- kind of guy
Ryder Hesjedal (6) - a little Pac NW chauvinism - he's from Vancouver BC
J. Van Den Broeck (4) - He did look very good on the climbs in the 09 Tour, and a steal at 4 points
Two French breakaway artists (6 each), with some experience to maybe pull something: Chaveal and Cesar. Voeckler is too flaky to pick
This team scores over 6000 points - woulda, coulda, shoulda
Well, you cant take my IMLP finish away from me ... but, I did take a peek at velogames.com and it looks like the yellow jersey winner after the final stage is in fact Leigh Boyle's "Stalkers" team. I got knocked completely off the podium.
Congrats Leigh!
A quick glance at the other categories does show that my "Jumpserve" teams does in fact win the Polka Dot Jersey (324 points) and Fergus's "Go boys" take the Green Jersey competition (589 points).

Thanks! That kid looked really strong in the Spring Classics.
Remy DiGregorio...I was hoping for some crazy French rider to make it in a break away. Maybe I should've picked Remy Profiterole...
And the winner is.................

Finishing IMLP and winning EN fantasy TDF in the same day!!! Awesome!
@hayes - not sure what 'yantz' are - should I be afraid?
