JOS Bike Week 11 - Back to work with those shiny new numbers
Lots of great FTP numbers being posted last week. As the OS nears it's end, don't forget to listen to your body and rest for a day if needed. The goal here is hard work with solid recovery in between so that your body can consolidate your fitness gains.
It is never a bad thing to think about scheduling a massage or do some yoga on the days that you are not riding. Your body will thank you.
Back to the longer zone 4 intervals Tuesday and shorter, harder intervals on Thursday this week so get your mindset and get ready.

Thursday race, that start though...
Did the Tues workout with the shiny new numbers and it was pretty darn tough on the second round, but got it done. Going to hop on the bike after work for the Thursday workout, it looks interesting with the FTP going to VO2 max work. Will see how it goes, I did notice that there weren't any Zwift files for these style workouts, so I made up something to try out, if it works I'll toss it over to Coach P for possible inclusion into the zip files.
Sat AM hang on RIde. Had to cut it short but hung with the blob for almost the whole hour. nice round numbers 1 hour 100 tss.
Ya'll are killing it this week; After moving into the bike focused 70.3 plan, I've looked back fondly on the weekday bike workouts of the OS. After hitting new numbers, longer FTP work followed by Z5 intervals were near impossible:)).
Mostly, I just wanted to jump in and brag on myself a little bit...finally got my Tron Bike today! Looking forward to riding some flatter courses in the near future:)
Keep getting after it gents!
@Mark Hickman Congrats on the TRON! As I was getting dropped 55 minutes into the hangon ride yesterday, I was going as hard as I could go up the climb and EVERYBODY ahead of me on the climb had the tron bike. SO JEALOUS! Good luck on your race build and don't hesitate to drop back in anytime. I will be going into the get faster plan/forum after this so don't be a stranger.
Team CnC East Coast Ride today was a good one. The blob stayed together the whole first hour until I had to leave for SAU time doing yard work (can you say spring?).
I got some pretty good spikes on the sprints and hit 800 and 900 watts for the first time on zwift today. Note the double orange areas are me getting dropped on the climbs, taking a short breather, and pushing hard to catch the group. I pushed a bit harder near the end be cause I knew I was out at an hour. Thanks to @Brian Hagan and the crew for waiting up!
