JOS Bike Thread Week 14 - Get "R" Done

This is where all of that OS work shows up.  Big test day this week and off to your season better, stronger, faster than before.

Use your rest day and get a solid recovery.  Get your mental game in gear and get on that bike!

  • Going to take the test outdoors to get a good outdoor baseline. I'll take it to the local TT route, but since I'll be doing more road bike work this year I'll be riding it on that bike.

    Looking forward to the results.

  • No formal test today but this ride with 2 x 20 min Z4 was plenty painful for me.

    That is 2 intervals of 20 min at 20 watts more than my FTP going into the OS so I will take that and keep rolling.

  • @Ralph Moore Thanks for leading the JOS bike thread. I was not around much, posting mostly on the run thread where I was actually doing something. Great work on the 2X20' above you definitely made some gains this OS.

  • @Ralph Moore Thanks for leading the bike OS this year. I'm going to test in a week or two. I was knocked out for the better part of 8 days last week with cold that morphed into a chest cold. I'm on the mend now, but if I really push efforts I start to cough, so I'm keeping up long, slow-ish endurance efforts.

  • Hi all! I'm trying to find the Zwift bike workouts to download for the Half-Ironman Minimalist program. I am not seeing them anywhere. Any ideas?? THANKS!

  • @Carol DeFazio - I took a quick peak at the 1/2 plans and then minimal 1/2 plans and it looks like the core bikes on Tues & Thursday workouts from the normal plan are the same as those for the minimalist plan. So you should be able to match those up with your training. It looked like the main differences between the plans were with the other workouts (non-high priority ones) which moved around or were removed. So you should be able to use these:
