How many pegs do you have?

In light of recent happenings within the EN family, I think many, including myself, have taken a different look or perspective on this crazy thing called life.  We have a local road racer/heart doc that had a good blog post this week that I thought some might enjoy.

  • Awesome read Kris! Thank you for sharing it.
  • Excellent read. Thanks for sharing!

  • Well worth sharing with many folks that I know.
  • This is great! I've been evaluating the amount of self worth that in prior years I have been piling on my triathlon peg (although I didn't know to call it that until reading this) since my recent year and my subsequent realization that I'm not getting back to the level of performance in training and racing that I was used to. It is taking me a while to get to the point of true acceptance that this is fine and actually a good thing! This article really helps stress how important it is that I stick to the effort. I think I'm even going to try fashioning some new pegs....kayaking starting tomorrow!

    Thanks for sharing!
  • Thanks Kris, great advice to us as athletes, parents and all areas of our lives.
  • There is life (a peg) outside of/other than triathlon?  Yep.

    Good stuff.  Thanks for sharing.

  • Great read. It has been commonly thought that men often attach their self worth and esteem to the jobs. The odds of death after retirement for men in the first two years was horrific from what I recall. I think his blog is very much needed to keep perspective for us type A personalities.

  • Great article, Kris. Thanks for sharing. I will honestly I have had WAY too much on the IM peg the last few years. My interests are varied, hobbies many. Not too proud to say I have let some of those slide during the IM years. After IMWI, there will several years of  NO IM and a return to a "normal" active lifestyle. I will cheer all of you on !!
