Which Hydration System do you prefer with your computer mount
I have always used a variation of a BTA system. The sip-sip approach makes me drink more than if I just had a water bottle in a cage.
I like the TorHans system but the problem I have is there is no room for my computer mount. My aero bars are not very long. I've been using the horizontal bottle and strapping my Garmin on top of the bottle. I need some creative ideas of where to place a computer mount with the vertical bottle, it holds 30 oz vs 20 oz. TofHans has a computer mount that might work.

I use the XLab Torpedo Kompact 500. It comes with a built in computer mount. Works great and takes any water bottle as I don't prefer the straw.
I had an xlabs torpedo with straw in a BTA bottle with a garmin / wahoo mount on side of aero bars. The computer would stick out to the right of my arm when in aero position.
here's a couple of pics.
Using the Xlab torpedo versa 200 atm, which has a built in computer mount as well and can use the refill bottle w/ tube or standard bottle. Got it so I could switch between the refill bottle vs standard (for longer races).
Overall its been decent, but had a little too much bounce for me (even though it is supposed to be no bounce) ended up integrating my torpedo mini mount with it so I could tighten it down more. Its also a hard bottle so I know if it ejects and hits wrong, you have to replace it (if it cracks/get a hole in it) which I have seen a few people complain about in reviews.
I don't use a bike computer when racing, I flip my watch over so that the watch face is on the inside of my wrist. That way I can see it if I am in aero.
Thanks for all the ideas @Patrick Hayden
@Derrek Sanks do you find that coming out of aero causes a break in momentum?
@scott dinhofer I might experiment with that
@Janyne Kizerwhenever I tried that I would inadvertently hit a button and it would pause or whatever.
You are correct, the watch flipping idea is somewhat dependent on your aerobar + bottle setup. If your arms are very close to your bottle, it's a problem on bumpy terrain.
@Sheila Leard Not really. I'm able to stay in aero position while removing the bottle and drinking (I practiced it many times to ensure I'm comfortable). Also depending on course terrain (hilly/flat), I time my drinking with aero position breaks. I try to sit up or stand every 15 - 30 mins.
When I used a BTA straw system, I had more of a disruption/break from refilling the BTA bottle approx 2x an hour.
Before I got my current bike (Shiv w/ incl internal bladder and hose), I'd use an old profile bottle (similar to the Torhans one you showed up top), and only that bottle for a sprint/oly (i'd even remove the cages from the frame).
For HIM or longer, I'd use the profile bottle and fill it up with bottles from my frame.
On the further-away (near the shifters) of the aero bars, I made my own mount with some velcro straps and a piece of aluminum, with a Garmin mount. I have a slightly different configuration now, but I liked the old system too. Never had any issues!
