Your Weakest Discipline: Tell Us More...
I am just a slow runner and I have a like(not love)/hate relationship with it because it has always been
difficult for me. It triggers my asthma in a way that biking and swimming do not so I avoided it growing up
but have worked at it since I started doing tris.
Your Injury / Difficulty History
Asthma that is very well controlled and I know my limits with. I am recovering now from a rotator cuff
strain. I am cleared to swim but am building back up strength and motion still.
Top Three Lessons Learned in your triathlon career.
Plans with running speed work have helped me improve the run (I've followed the intermediate Garmin
olympic plan). Sticking to the training plan and good nutrition are key. I think I often lose swimming fitness
because I'm focusing so much on the run. Now that I'm starting from zero on the swim I don't know how
that will fit in.
