I used that same gearing w/ FTP 278ish in 2018 and now at 287 FTP coach P said to put my 52/36 back on for this year. You do run out of gears when you hit 32-35 mph but if its the hills your thinking about the 50/34 with 11-28 will be fine
I agree with @Josh Church and @Dave Tallo. That gear ratio is just right for most people on most courses. There are no crazy climbs on that course, but also no screaming downhills... So I'd be surprised if you spin out all that often (if at all). And that's plenty of gears for any of the uphills.

I agree with Josh. My 2c: I've never needed more than the combo you describe. personally, I wouldn't worry about spinning out.
