2020 Outseason Captains Needed
Ok folks time to pull together the Endurance Nation OutSeason® for another epic year. This year will be no exception with St George as an early season race; there’s a lot of work to do.
As Coach Patrick and your teammates create the plans and workouts, respectively, there is another key role in the winter equation -- team leadership for each OutSeason® training group (application instructions below).
Yes there are responsibilities, but we’ve found that if you are doing it right, it’s not “work” you are just hanging out with friends! 👍
The OutSeason® Captain Role [Two per OutSeason - November & January]
We are looking for two Captains each per official OutSeason®. NOTE: Ralph Moore and Patrick Hayden have stepped up already for November. Scott Dinhofer is looking for a run captain to join him for the January OS. so we only need one.
Your role will be to lead by sharing your training and generally being a really awesome, supportive person online.
When You are ON
The NOV OS starts on 10/28/19, the JAN OS Starts on 1/6/20. Full OutSeason® Details are online here: The 2020 OutSeason® Plans Are About to Go Live!
What You’ll Do
- Create a weekly post in the forums (usually Sundays) and offer support and motivation to members for the upcoming week.
- Post the forum link to the EN 24/7 chat group and point folks to the forum for more interaction (we won’t create a separate GroupMe for an OS).
- Post training picture and motivational message minimum of 1x a week to the EN Live Facebook Group.
- Stay connected with Coach P if there are issues or challenges that need to be addressed by pointing him to that message in the forum, or particular workout, etc.
What You Get
- 1-month free membership
- 3-month gift certificate for Zwift
- Free 2020 Race Shirt (coming early 2020)
- The respect and adulation of your teammates 💪
Interested?
You can apply by replying to this thread with your OS Choice, email and best phone number. We will chose folks for the November OS by Friday 10/25 and for the January OS by 12/20. Please remember to tag me so I get the notification.
Thanks!

I can take the NOS - Run, if Ralph is taking the NOS - Bike. It will be just like last year only we both moved from the captaining the JOS to the NOS.
@Patrick Hayden - sounds good to me. Okay with you @Ralph Moore
I am all over the Bike NOS. Looking forward to it. I have actually been preparing this year.
It is also exciting to get swag! So Official!
Patrick and I are becoming the OS Motivational Dream Team. Woo Hoo!
What is the official start date for NOS? is it 10/28 or 11/4?
Also, have the Zwift Workouts been updated for the OS this year? If not, I can help with that process.
@Ralph Moore - Sounds like a plan, looks like we are on starting 10/28, so just 10 days to the start of the OS.
@Brenda Ross - Presume we are posting these in the "General Training Discussions" category like last year? NOS 2020 Bike/Run Thread - Week 1, etc.
If anyone wants to split the workload for the JOS, I am happy to do a weekly JOS bike thread.
@Ralph Moore - going to let @Coach Patrick way in on that one.
@Brenda Ross I added a link to my official OS thread, dates for NOV start is 7 days from today....aka 10/28/19.....workouts are being created this week by your teammates.
heads up On the ^above^ @Ralph Moore @Patrick Hayden
@Coach Patrick you added the link where? Sorry, not seeing it.
@Brenda Ross
I can do the JanOS Triathlon OutSeason® Training Plan: Run Focus.
Unless I hear otherwise from @Coach Patrick that's the plan I'm putting myself in.
@Sheila Leard - JOS Run Focus, @scott dinhofer - JOS Bike Focus?
hey @Sheila Leard if you hear differently from coachP or need support with the OS run focus I would be willing to help team up with you and @scott dinhofer in January
@Daniel Ballin I think we are good, but @scott dinhofer can let you know for sure.
