John Culberson Official Coach Thread
Here's your personal Coach Thread, as promised. This is where you'll return to post all your "coach" questions as responses; I'll see them and reply. This first post is here to guide you through your first year on EN, so you can always come back here.
As you'll see in this forum, I handle all manner of edits and changes. So post away, know that I reply here usually M/W/F each week.
Power User Tip: Click the Star icon by the Title of this thread to subscribe, and you'll get email updates when I do reply.

Your Notes
Injuries after a solid ITU LD finish in 2016 led to a couple of Aquabike seasons. Last year included two six hour 70.3 races, most recently on September 29. Maintained 7-8 hours/wk (6K SW, 75mi BI, 15mi RU) of training from Nov-Sept without injury. Lots of high intensity bike, run frequency. Age-Up 60-64 success based on strong swim background, excellent bike FTP development. Run speed was weak, although durability kept me rolling to the finish with a few 11mi training runs.Dropping my CTL (90->70) over last three weeks with TSB>10. Heavy (10K) swimming and 5 days a week of running (15min x 2, 30min x 2, 60min x 1). Two hard 30min bikes/week, 1 tempo run. Feeling fresh and hungry for Nov OS, (Bike focused?), with continued build of run durability to 25-30mpw. Will maintain significant swim training this winter s I try to break 60sec for 100 Freestyle at age 60 at the US Masters Spring Nationals in late April.
