  • @Shaughn Simmons - I will! LOVE the people. IT's become a critical part of my week.

I having to SWAG my week to fit it in. So I won't be lining up well with rest of the week as planned. IE will be doing the 2 hour bike on Friday. SO I can grab the long run on Saturday and be able to drive my dog 2 hours to training.

    #lifebalance#CPR#workworks

  • Only got in 32' and 1X15' this morning. Trouble reading the power from my 10 year old powertap changed batteries and then was having problems with wattage readings which took some time to sort out even thought the 15' interval.

Not impressed with myself over the missed interval but more work than I would have got sleeping in.

Just found out Daycare's cancelled and I get to stay home with my son, 2.5 years old, and play so that will be my 2nd interval over the next 12-15 hours.

  • Thursday sweet spot more tolerable coming into fresh block of intensity L1 9 mins felt good. May try L2 week 2 but keep Tuesday L1 for now.

  • I'm facing this tomorrow - had to do a switch with the 30min run session due to work/family commitments. Early morning sweet-spot training is never my fave...

  • Mission accomplished this morning:

  • @Gordon Cherwoniak - consistency is key, good job getting it mostly done!

@Jacklyn Moore -this is why you do EN! the mojo keeps you going. Imagine how easy it is to kcik the can on a WKO when no one is watching or expecting a report from you!

@Daniel Ballin - good effort, now if we can get you up Ascutney Faster next year!

@Shaughn Simmons - we need your leadership at Camp HOff this june!

Frankly, everyone here should be at Camp Hoff this June!

  • @scott dinhofer - thank you so much for the thought, consideration and invite. I would very much like to attend, however, My "A" race is May 3rd, after which I will most likely be making a trip to Europe TBD in the June/July time frame......

  • @scott dinhofer so many camps. Al camp for me in June and then Pacific Crest Beastman the last weekend in June.

  • @scott dinhofer - Thanks for the invite but i will be running the Glacier Half Marathon and spending 3 weeks roaming around Idaho and Montana with the family. We are scooping out Coeur delane for IM 2021. and having some fun too. We also want to ride the Idaho rail to trail system. Looks pretty awesome.

I learn so much from reading how peeps adjust their training for their lives. #CPR

  • Thursday bike ride in the bag. 2x15 min felt good -- I believe my FTP is probably ~10 watts low. I don't want to be a Week 1 Hero and will keep as is as and test in a few weeks.

  • Hi guys, having problem with importing the OS rides to Zwift. Downloaded the files, saved them in Documents-Zwift-Workout folder, deleted the 2019 OS files. Opened Zwift, and all I see is 2019 OS files?? Can someone help? I have a mail into Zwift support, but would appreciate if anyone can tell me what I need to do.....

  • @Yasko Howell - I had the same problem, the answer is that the files are actually the correct files, there is a "name" inside the file that still refers to 2019 as the files haven't changed, so just open the correct week/ day from your 2019 files and you will be good to go. see the other thread on files as I will be checking the Tuesday/ thursday files weekly

  • What Scott said. I just loaded the 2019 Thursday ride and it's the same as the 2020 wko.

  • Bike done. Loaded the L1 wko and I have to say it felt pretty easy. I think I'll definitely try L2 workouts next week.

  • Did the L2 bike workout yesterday, both at .91. Good steady work, HR barely broke 140.

  • Had a good L3 ride this morning. For some reason I've always found sweet spots intervals a struggle early in the morning (bizarrely, I'm better with early morning VO2max sessions and lunchtime/evening long sweet spot/threshold - what's that about?).

Sweating big time, despite the fan. Bike covered in towels - have caused salt damage to gears once before. Might need a new fan...

  • Missed everything yesterday due to picking up Ally on her return from Israel at Newark at 5am...

got yesterday's bike in today. I did the last 7 1'2 mins at increasing intensity. While I've swagged my FTP at 235, I have a feeling it may be slightly higher, but not much.

Did a 3.4 mile run after, my longest since having been in run jail..

  • @Angus Whitfield - I am a pretty big sweater, I run two dyson fans on me in a cold room, the room is probably anywhere between 50 & 60F, and one towel. That's always been enough.. Can you do anything to make your room colder?

  • @scott dinhofer might be time for a new fan....!

  • i run one tower and one desktop. they come with remote controls and you can power them on as you warm up, oscilate, etc.. and they're pretty quiet.

    @Angus Whitfield

  • Ok hive mind! How do I get en EN jersey in Zwift? That was the only way I saw Mark Edwards today. Thanks.

  • @Jacklyn Moore you complete one EN event, cruise n crush, etc, and then it’s in your garage

  • edited January 11, 2020 3:41AM

@scott dinhofer- Oh neat! How do I know when an event is? I REALLY want a jersey!

    Thanks, Scott

  • Should be in the wiki, or go into the EN zwift GroupMe

  • Got my Tuesday and Thursday rides in this week. Doing the BF plan with L3 bike and L1/L2 run. Working on some other stuff around the house this morning but schedule is pretty flexible today. I will get the Saturday ride in some time this afternoon. Plan on stretching it out to 2.5 hours.

On my Thursday ride I finally got the ERG mode to work with my smart trainer. Made it super nice to maintain the power for the interval as I did not have to worry about being between gears. 🙂

  • Swapped the bike and run this weekend to take part in a local 12 K road race this morning. Not quite an easier long run, but I wanted to do it to mix things up from my normal routine. Hilly course, and I wasn't feeling the best. However, I pushed in the last half of the race and still managed to best my time from last year by 1 min 1 sec. Hopefully, I still have something in my legs for the ride tomorrow!

  • I did the 3R Steady ride today on Zwift which is a ~2 hr 35- 45 min ride. It always ends up about 2.5 w/kg for the entire ride, but it can be surgy in parts. There are some great ENrs on the ride and Discord makes the time go by.

The workout today had target of 2 hr 30 min, 163 TSS and 0.81 IF. My Zwift ride ended up being 2 hrs 37 min, 160 TSS and .78 IF.

  • Well did not make 2.5 hours. Got to the last 10 minute Z4 interval and just could not hold anything. Backed off and just spun to cool down and make 2 hours. 80' at Z3 was no joke. Feel good about things though as that was the longest trainer ride I have done in a while. Improvement will come as each week passes.

  • took advantage of the warm weather here in the hudson valley and got out for a 2 hour spin. Will do another 2 hours or more tomorrow as well.
