IMFL stress dream
I had a dream last night - kinda like those stress dreams everyone has during college where they arrive at the final without attending one class . Mine was I raced, but DNF, Ironman Florida*.
im not registered for IMFL and have no plans to race it in the future.
What should I take from this?
*missed bike cutoff due to inadequate signage

It means that whatever else happens this year don't let anyone talk you into signing up for Florida. Better go to Arizona.
@Dave Tallo For the past 7-8 years I have had recurring "late for triathlon:" dreams. They all are a little different but the general theme is I either can;t get to the start in time or I mess up the course during a race. Before this started happening I debunked the idea of recurring dreams, but these are just so similar feeling. Another aspect is the course is always cock-a-mamie, meaning it runs through a building, or in a theme park ride or something. Mostly I have them when I have a race coming up, like the night or the week before. I take them to mean my non-conscious brain is doing its work getting me ready for competition. As you know, I'm a strong believer that the conscious mind just gets in the way of a successful race effort. The executive race controller needs some training just like all our physical assets (muscles, heart, blood, hormones, GI system, skin, etc etc.) Dreams are a good place to get the cobwebs out and prep for race day.
Hahaha - I have triathlon-related stress dreams from time to time. For me, the stress is usually having forgotten something important like my bike or wetsuit and not realizing it until just minutes before the race is about to start. In my case, the dreams just happen randomly (not necessarily close to a race) so I think it's usually some other stressful thing going on in my life that manifests as triathlon dreams.
@Dave Tallo My take don't somewhere you don't know the course. Then again maybe you are supposed to go to a more technical course in Madison and take on IMWI.
Do Florida !
@Dave Tallo My two cents worth is that this is a "stress" dream where you have some kind of project or assignment you are working on that you have worry about your ability to finish what you start due to inadequate information being given to you!
