  • I hate admitting this, but I haven't done enough running (I hate running),
so let's do the run durability program.

Also, I figure out the SSO problem, which likely is the problem with any
user who may be having the issue. I tried Chrome and Edge to no avail on
my home laptop. I then tried on my work laptop and, even though I have
identical Chrome builds on both my work and home laptop, I was able to get
in on my work laptop. Thus, I assumed it was a setting on my home laptop.
I compared the two laptops' Chrome settings and found that on my home
laptop, under Privacy and security>Cookies and other site data, I had
"Block third-party cookies" on. On my work laptop, I had "Block
third-party cookies in Incognito" on. Once I changed the setting on my
home laptop to be either "Block third-party cookies in Incognito" or "Allow
all cookies" I was all set. Makes sense, since the SSO integration is
likely tracking the handoff via a cookie and that cookie would be from
    vanillacommunities.com.

Let me know what to load up for the Run Durability program, as well as the
    supplemental swim program.

  • @Thom Reid

Start with Durability for Triathletes Phase 1. There are 3x phases. Each is phase is 4 weeks. If you start now it will get you through October. Then we can talk about setting up the OutSeason Plan. These plans include some swimming so you can put that Fast Lane to use, and just enough running (and variety) to keep your run honest! 🤣 Let me know if you need help or want me to load up those plans.

Thanks for the notes on the SSO. Coach Patrick is working on moving the content to another platform to avoid these kind of headaches. Its a big site and might take a bit. Thanks for your patience.

  • Matt:
I loaded up the "Durability for Triathletes Phase 1" program yesterday,
with the plan of starting the workouts this morning. Much to my surprise,
there are 5 runs a week, but only one bike, which is on Saturday, and one
swim on Fridays. I know I said let's go with the run durability program,
but I got the impression from one of your emails that there would be 3-4
bike workouts and a little more swimming. Is this the right program to
use? I'll go crazy with only one bike workout a week!!!!

  • @Thom Reid This plan might have more what you are looking for: [Specificity] Bike FTP 5-Minute Hack, All Abilities (6wks)

That plan has more bike workouts and you can add some swimming, as it fits into you your schedule. Keep a low level of consistent running even if it is only 15-40 minutes 3x4 times a week. We want to keep you run durable. Let me know what you think of that plan. Let's find a plan and schedule that works for you and get you back in the groove.
