2010 Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon

Raced in a very well organized Olympic Tri this weekend, the Chattanooga Waterfront Triathlon.  Swam in the Tennessee River, biked along a highway up and back onto the ridge of some mountains (beautiful views, but white-knuckling 40+ mph descents for this flatlander), and then ran on trails along the Tennessee River.  All this in 90+ degree, cloud-less skies.  I finished second in the Clydes.  Thought I won, but wasn't too disappointed when the winner turned out to be 22 years old!  Whipper-snapper!

Ran into two EN guys.  I do apologize, but in my post race daze, I forgot your names.  Please respond.  First time I've seen Team EN in the South.

  • Great Job, the heat this weekend at the races was killer.

  • Congrats on placing. How about some more details though????

  • Copy that. Once they post the results, I'll provide more detail on the race.
  • Clinton, congrats on your race!! I  live in Chattanooga, but was attending Moo Camp. Waterfront is notoriously hot and humid. Where do you live?

  • Moo Camp over Waterfront? Where are your priorities?!?!?! ;^) I live in Atlanta. Brought the entire family up to enjoy the Children's Museum and Aquarium. Stayed only a block from transition, which allowed me to set up and then go back to hotel for pre-race air conditioning!!!
