Without a doubt that things are getting hot in here. It's that time of year when gravity and wind take a backseat to your newest nemesis: the heat.

Without a doubt we can safely say that things are getting hot in here. It's that time of year in the northern hemisphere when gravity and wind take a backseat to your newest nemesis: THE HEAT!

Training and racing in the heat is our theme for the month of July, and will be delivering you resources and content design to make you a better athlete in these conditions.

Sitting in my air-conditioned house, I can see the data roll Lynn from athletes across the country who are suddenly struggling with higher temperatures and higher heart rates. Your body is effectively doing double time, working to keep your cool and maintain the speed you want.

The good news is that with a few simple tweaks you can make the training much more manageable. And it turns out the training in the heat does bring some benefits to your physiology, assuming you can stay safe and hydrated.

So get that ice cold glass of water and let’s get down to business!
