Adjusting the HIM plan for a 'B' HIM
I'm trying to get motivated to do somethign after IMCDA. I've gotten out and done some running/riding over the last 3 weeks.
My question is this... I want to plan on doing a HIM in about 8 weeks. But I will burn too many SAU's if I go for 2 rides on the weekends. I can probably manage a 3 hour ride on Saturday and a 1 hr run on Sunday. The rest of the HIM schedule looks doable (may cut swim down to 2 times a week). But is this doable? I really just want to do the HIM for fun, but I still want to do ok (not great) Thoughts?
I'm really just looking for motivation to keep doing something.
Thanks for the input.

A race in one's future is always good motivation for maintaining fitness. My only add would be more time on the long runs. I'm not familiar with the EN HIM plan's longest run leading up to an HIM, but if I were you I would not skimp on that aspect of the plan if you want to avoid unnecessary suffering when you do the race, specifically walking during the race or significant muscle tenderness after the race.
