For those of you familiar with the Science of Sports blog, they took the day off but filled their daily distribution with Jens clips. Classics! I love that guy!
Shut up legs is an alltime fav - never knew that was a Jensism...
On the saxobank video from Pau - "Dis blankets - I would maximum use to like cover my horse in winter - I would never use that for any human being" -- HILARIOUS!
Goes to the front of the peleton to work for Andy, proceeds to pop many riders off the back.
Comes up on Linus Gerdamens (sp?) who was in front of the peleton after having not survived a breakaway. Jens whistles too him to come back a bit and give him wheel. LG pulls for a couple minutes, Jens goes again, and then pulls off, done for the day.
Paraphrased quote from either Phil or Paul:
"If the Tour had 10 riders like Jens Voight there would only be 10 finishers. He's that hard."
With age comes wisdom; Jens has seen a few careers lost to mangled pelves and hips (Beloki, Vino, to name just two), to say nothing of deaths. It's why I finally gave up Xterra racing.
I hope you are right Chris! The man can't possibly just open up a coffee shop in Europe. Well, I guess he could, and if he did, it would be mobbed by people wanting to drink Jens Joe

The coffee shop would be at the top of a 10 mile hill with an average grade of 15%
Yes, interview was ass (wtf was the comment about wife fight and punching a wall?), but you can tell that Jens has game when it comes to handling interviews.
Man-crush hearts all over the world will break when he decides to rack his bike...
Cool to learn that Jens has such an strong support in EN ...
I am and was never a big fan of Cycling, and esp not for the ProCycling esp after all the doping issues came up with Jan, Eric, Patrik and the german team riders ... nor a follower of Jens until last year whenI bought my first road bike and learned about him from my bike fitter (he was working for the CSC team and Jens, and a couple other riders of the german nationalteams)
I must admit that Jens is one few of the peleton riders which really sticks out. He hasn't been been awefully successful like other german riders, but he deveolped over the years to a great ambassador for the values his sport stands for and as a matter of fact he is simply "ne harte, coole Sau" and very difficult not to like
Jens Strategies "How survive winter and keep training" ... love the ice-scratching part, #4 & #6sounds familiar ... glad that i do triathlon and my coach tell's me not to swim in winter that leaves me with #6 and doing taxs? Have fun reading.

The jensvoigt army has a Jens Voigt sound board in the Antroid Market, its cost a buck but its well worth it
Yep...and I'm a follower!!
That guy is great...Does he really taste blood in his mouth when he's working hard...DAMN..
Best is, "shut up legs"...love it.

From Saturday's stage:

We have something in common!

Decides he's in for next year's tour after the Alpe d'Huez finish and five beer, got to love that guy!
@thejensie need a roomie? Jens Voigt currently riding the entire Tour de France route backwards, picking up everyone's water bottles.
I so prefer these Jens "jokes" to the Chuck Norris ones...
Once again, as the professional cycling season ramps up, more Jens interviews and news! This time a two-parter:

Thanks Scott.
The interviewer is kind of an ass but Jens handled himself well.

Kai, how is Jens perceived among German cyclists, cycling fans, and the general public?
