EN NorCal Meets Up With EN SoCal And Talk About Scott Alexander In Texas? Huh?
I am sure RandP never imagined the friendships that would happen when they envisioned EN. One of the best parts of being part of this team for me is meeting many of you at races and elsewhere. One of those friendships that is very cool for me is the one I have with Dave Ambrose from SoCal near Santa Barbara! We did IM CdA together last year (and with 20+ other awesome EN folks) and then I went down to Santa Barbara (a 4.5+ hour drive) late last year to do a local race with him and Dave and his wife hosted me at their home with their kids. Dave and I have kept in contact and he, his wife Jenny and their friend Trina were up over this past weekend for Dave's HUGE PR at Vineman 70.3. I mean HUGE PR!
My wife and I met up with the Ambrose's and Trina for dinner tonight near Berkeley. We had a great time chatting about everything, including the funny movie "Hangover" that Jen and Dave can spit out movie one-liners all night long. Very fun! Plus, it looks like the Stark and Ambrose wives have agreed to let Dave and I (really more Dave than me cuz I am going anyway) race IM AZ together next year as long as they can do a womens only overnight "spa" in Scottsdale after the race and the guys watch the kids. SOLD! 
Add Dave to the list for IM AZ 2011!
The interesting part is that the subject of our very own EN Texas rock star Scott Alexander came up. Scott came into town for Vineman as well. Looks like there is a bit of attraction between Scott and Trina. Trina thought Scott was "cute." I understand the same comment about Trina was made by Scott. Dave and I spent a lot of time talking Scott up BIG TIME and I think we have tee'd Scott up for a real intro sometime in the near future. No pressure, Scott. 
And I know I am calling you out here, Scott, and I hope you know this is all in fun. 
All I have to say is that Trina is great, cute and very down to earth. I liked her a lot. Ball is in your court, pal!
