It is ALIVE!!! There were rumblings on the Ergomo google group about it's resurrection, but it's nice to finally see a webpage. I moved mine to my road bike where it's behaving very nicely for the last 6 months.
Mine keeps ticking and I have a practically unused BB in my tri bike as a spare, essentially. The last couple weeks, as my bike was bouncing around the country, I had the opportunity to ride a borrowed bike with a Powertap. The monitor just does not compare to the Ergomo monitor. As I've said before, having real time TSS, IF and Pnorm is very, very powerful on training rides. It lets me have a standard or benchmark for everytime that I get on the bike that I murder myself trying to meet. I simply can't ride at anything below 85% anymore without getting extremely impatient, feel like I'm wasting my time, etc.
I think the Joule would be a great upgrade for anyone with a Powertap, as it gives you those numbers in real time as well.
If I were to get a new bike(s), would the Ergomo BB work in any others without issue? Someone told me I couldn't get a bike with a new BB30. Any other strict considerations?!?
I still have one on the road bike. After IMWI I plan to put the PT wheel on that bike and look @ ; the difference in the 2 side by side. ( And, yes, I know they measure @ ; different locations. Just for fun!)
