Quick Shout Out To DeSoto Regarding Their Customer Service
Last year I posted asking for reco's for tri shorts. I got a lot of responses and decided on the DeSoto Forza 4 Pocket tri short. They were $80 at the time. I bought 2 pair, wore them in trainining and wore them at IM CdA and have loved them the whole time.
Two weeks ago the crotch threading was coming apart and I emailed DeSoto on a Sunday night asking about their warranty. At 7:30 am the next morning I got a response that they are happy to help. Never asked for my original receipt or anything else. Just send them in. I sent both pair in and they restitched everything AND put in a new chamois in both. You can't even tell there was an original issue.
DeSoto will get more biz from me in the future. Thanks to those who pointed me to them.

Five years ago, an overly aggressive wet suit stripper at IM Moo tore the shoulder strap on my De Soto two-piece. I shipped it back, got it repaired, and wore it in my next race two weeks later. Still swim in it 10-15 times a year, including races. I also have at least 4 of their one-piece tri suits. When they've had a season at the races, they become something like bib shorts for the cool riding days here in Pac NW. Never had a problem with any of them. (I wish EN would use them for logo'd gear, then I could represent at the races.)
De Soto is having a sale on their 2009 and 2008 models, the one piece suit I mentioned is now $99, down from $160. I'm not a paid spokesperson, just a very satisfied customer.
I love my DeSoto forza shorts. I have a pair of Craft shorts that was purchased around the same time as the DeSotos and the Craft shorts are starting to show their age way more. Good to know about the repairs!
