I'm back in the game at 138.2 this morning (pre-long run ... 133 after). At least 3.2 lbs to go by Oct 9th.
good job, Gordon! I'm also down the weight gained last week and slightly (.2) lower than the week before... 132.2 (so this is my lowest Wed weigh in so far) - want to be at 128 when mid Aug rolls around and hoping to be at 125-6 shortly thereafter ... more importantly, I want to stay there!
My goal is to step up to the starting line at 195. *Gasp! Not a clydesdale? Wait a sec, that means I will have to compete with age groupers instead of my brethren. Perish the thought! First time in over a decade!
@ Matt - good to have you back 11 weeks is a long time to focus in. It's only 11 weeks to Kona that means I only have 4.5 to IMC.
@Becky - Nice job, I also have to keep the weight off. Although I will not reach my end goal of 190 until OS 2011 sometime. I could even cut another 10 lbs off that easily, but one step at a time.
@ Mark - 195 that's great, what will you do as an age grouper. I guess I'd have to say I sandbagged it to keep my clyde status, one chocolate bar too many. I'm pretty sure I won't make it below clyde but 205 is my target. Hey it's better than the 252 a year ago so I won't complain.

Weighed in heavy at 205 this morning, after a week of non-adherence to my own nutrition plan after Vineman 70.3.
I leave for a 5-day camping trip first thing in the morning, where there will be (bad) food and (good) beer, so I expect my weight to jump up when I get back next Wednesday. Then it's back to the grindstone and trying to hit my 195 goal before Longhorn/Austin 70.3 in mid-October.
I'm sure this is super old news to most of you, heck it was old news to me - I'd just never checked it out. If you've got an iPhone, there's a free app you can download (Lose It) that will figure out how many calories you need a day to get to a goal weight in x amount of time... Coach R started a thread yesterday or today about getting to a good body comp and he talks about using it. So does Kitima (she's mentioned it before but I never took a look). I just played around with it and discovered that to get to my race weight when I want to, I need to drop 2 lbs a week... which translates to 890 calories per day. Sounds shocking... but in addition to being able to log in what you eat (to keep a tally of your daily calories), you can also note how long/hard you work out - so it can approximate the calories burned... and it does the math for you. I was impressed... and sorry I didn't try it sooner. I was also quite shocked to see that my BAS (big salad) for lunch is next to zippo calories and I'm stuffed after eating it. Cool.
